For those not on Facebook this blog post is to assist in getting information out regarding the 2022 event for our 35th reunion. For those on Facebook and not aware of the groups they are:

Please forward this any 42nd class alumni you know of that is not signed up or has access to social media etc.

Event. Mixed activities. Partners welcome. Booking links below are to assist the organisers for numbers and costs etc. All costs are best guess cost recovery numbers, the event links do not require payment, they are just to gather numbers so we can plan. If possible please register for these before the end of May so we can get some solid planning done.

Mick Forte has arranged discounts at the Voco Hotel where the dinner and other stuff will be based.

Those that have booked with a 3rd party (Expedia, booking.com), you will have to cancel with them and use the link to rebook. You could try and ring the office and see what you can get.

Day 1

• Day 1 (Pre Reunion Event) - Fishing charter (5am start) -  book here 

            

• Evening Day 1 - Meet and Greet  (6pm start) - book here

Day 2

• Breakfast Day 2 - make your own arrangements
  
  
• Morning event Day 2 - Indoor Skydive - we did this in Perth for the 30th and as such those that want a a high rpm start to the day can come along again (0800 to 1030, 0800 safety brief, start flying at 0900 - finish 1000 or soon after).  Book Here.
  
  
  
• Day event Day 2 - Canungra Kokoda Barracks/LWC visit - book here (Note the Canungra event will include placing a plaque near the old tent lines where we spent those wonderful weeks in September 1987 and 1988, this has added to the cost of the event). 
  1015 departure from Surfers, return by 1500.
  
  
• Evening event Day 2 - Formal Dinner. Not as formal as it sounds.  Book here

Hotel recommendation: 

We have secured a deal at the Voco Hotel on the Gold Coast. Nominally the deal is a discounted Room Rate for a Standard King or Twin Rooms of $210.00 per night including breakfast for one or $225 with breakfast for two. If you can't see that deal on their web site try one of the travel websites, many have deals better than direct !

Transport.... hire a moped !
